Tyrese Haliburton’s Rare Cartier Is Exploding in Value

Tyrese Haliburton’s Rare Cartier Is Exploding in Value

For those of you who thought the Cartier moment was passed—think again. From the avant-garde Crash to the iconic Tank Normale, the Parisian jeweler’s wares have seemingly never been hotter. And while Piaget had quite the moment last year and a Rolex Daytona will never not be hot, there’s something about a simple, time-only dress watch in precious metal that’s as enduring as the sun. Especially when it says “Cartier” on the dial. Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton clearly knows what we’re talking about. Speaking to the press this week following a game against the San Antonio Spurs in Paris, the burgeoning watch collector rocked a Bamboo, a rare and funky vintage Cartier from the 1970s. (We can only assume that TikTok dealer extraordinaire Mike Nouveau—who helped Pacers star pick up his Cartier Crash and Pebble—sourced this piece for him.) The Bamboo Coussin (French for “cushion”) represents a melding of Parisian and Eastern influences, with its distinctive shape taking on the aspect of rounded bamboo shoots that flow seamlessly one into the other as they …

Inside Cartier’s Star-Studded Met Gala 2024 Pre-party With Demi Moore, Jessica Biel, Elle Fanning, and Sofia Coppola

Inside Cartier’s Star-Studded Met Gala 2024 Pre-party With Demi Moore, Jessica Biel, Elle Fanning, and Sofia Coppola

A few hours before strutting up the steps of The Metropolitan Museum of Art and into the 2024 Met Gala on Monday evening, a parade of fashion royalty gathered at Cartier’s annual Met Gala pre-party to calm any pre-gala jitters. Demi Moore was among the guests at New York’s Bemelmans Bar, a legendary institution located inside the Carlyle. The actor’s return to the Met Gala for the first time since 2019 called for a very special accessory: Moore debuted Cartier’s never-before-seen Chloris necklace, which sparkles with 7.87 carats of emeralds, and was designed to look like dandelion seeds swept away by the wind. “It feels spectacular to wear it,” Moore told Vanity Fair. “And most importantly, I feel like it is in perfect symmetry with my entire look.” That look was a spectacular ensemble created by British American designer Harris Reed. “The front of the dress is a 100-year-old piece of archival silk wallpaper, and the rose design itself has 11,000 hours of embroidery,” explained Moore’s stylist, Brad Goreski, who accompanied her to the party. …

Cartier revives the Tortue, debuts dual time Santos and new animal jewellery watches

Cartier revives the Tortue, debuts dual time Santos and new animal jewellery watches

Cartier is known as the master of shapes, thus it’s only apt that one of its latest novelties unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2024 is a reissue of one its classic shapes. This year, the Cartier Prive collection brings back the Tortue. The Tortue was first conceived in 1912, making it one of the oldest Cartier watch shapes, even older than the Tank. It gets its name from its distinctive turtle-like shape (“Tortue” is French for tortoise). The 2024 version stays true to the original design, featuring apple-shaped hands and a rail-track. It has been subtly reworked for a slimmer profile, with horns stretched along the strap. There are three time-only models, and two monopusher chronograph versions. Source link

2 Tiny Questions To Find Out If Your Soulmate Is ‘The One’ | Aimee Cartier

We believe that when we meet and fall in love with our soulmates, a relationship with them is surely going to last forever. After all, they’re the ones, right? Surely, you will work as a couple. Or will you? I once met a man who the moment he first touched me I heard the words, “I love you. I love you. I love you” echoing throughout my body. His touch alone activated that knowledge in my blood and being. It was unusual, to say the least, and spectacular. The feeling moved through me with the assuredness of something deeply soulful and so certain. He was the best friend of some good friends (other soul friends) of mine. And the union, our union seemed just oh so right. But, despite all the initial soulmate signs, including the months that we dated, this man turned out not to be my man. It can be so confusing when this happens to you. You meet a soulmate (or a soul friend), someone with whom you have a deep connection, a …

Queen Camilla wears Cartier diamond brooches with sentimental meaning at memorial | Royal | News

Queen Camilla donned two gorgeous Cartier diamond brooches at a memorial service in Windsor today – each with sentimental meaning behind them. The senior royal stepped out in King Charles’s absence, leading members of the British Royal Family at the memorial service for the late King Constantine of Greece. The Greek monarch died aged 82 last January. Looking as elegant as ever in a navy pinstriped suit, Camilla sported two Greville Ivy Leaf Clips. The first brooch was made for the Hon Mrs Greville by Cartier in 1930. The second clip, which is identical to the first, was commissioned in 1937. Speaking of the brooches, Maxwell Stone from Steven Stone said: “Queen Camilla adorned herself with the timeless Greville Ivy Leaf Clips, each embellished with a central brilliant diamond and pavé-set Ivy Leaves in platinum. Originating from Cartier, the first brooch was crafted for the Hon Mrs Greville in 1930 and found its companion in an identical clip that was commissioned in 1937. Discussing the meaning behind each one, the expert added: “A poignant history …

The many faces of Cartier watches – CNA Luxury

First introduced in 1917, the Tank was designed by Louis Cartier, who drew inspiration from the Renault Tank used by the French military during World War I. Modern and elegant, its design flaunted a square face and an integrated strap held in between two straight parallel brancards or vertical bars, which recalled the armoured vehicle’s silhouette as seen from above. Marking a major shift from the traditional round watch, the Tank’s revolutionary clean and minimalist design was a breath of fresh air at the time. The Tank soon became a true icon of luxury and elegance, and over the decades, many iterations were launched, including the Tank Must, Tank Francaise and Tank Solo, among others. One of the most interesting incarnations was the Tank Asymetrique. When it appeared in 1936, the watch defied the established order of things. Everything on the dial was shifted 30 degrees to the right. The rectangle of the original Tank became a diamond, with the 12 placed in the case’s upper right corner and the 6 on the opposite. In place …
