Mark Wahlberg Flexed in Patek Philippe’s Buzziest New Watch

Mark Wahlberg Flexed in Patek Philippe’s Buzziest New Watch

It’s 2:30 in the morning. You’re probably asleep (or doom scrolling) which is a fairly normal thing to be doing at 2:30 in the morning. But not when you’re Mark Wahlberg, because Mark Wahlberg is built different. A stringent follower of a viral daily routine that involves waking up in the middle of the night, praying, cryo chambers, golf, lifting, praying, and being in bed by 7:30PM, Wahlberg has amassed fame, fortune, biceps the size of large organic hams and, somewhere along the way, one of the great celebrity watch collections. If you’ve spent any time browsing through Wahlberg’s Instagram, you’ll notice that plenty of those inspirational witching hour workout videos are accompanied by something just as aspirational on his wrist. Has he become the biggest, strongest, and earliest riser in Hollywood just to show off his watch rotation? Who are we to say… Axelle/Bauer-Griffin The latest in a long list of ultra-rare watch flexes, Wahlberg has recently been spotted walking the red carpet in Patek Philippe’s brand new World Time 5330G-001 (no doubt he’s …

These are the buzziest Super Bowl ads so far

These are the buzziest Super Bowl ads so far

NEW YORK (AP) — If you watch the Super Bowl for the commercials, you no longer have to wait until the big game to see what advertisers have in store for viewers. Many companies now release ads ahead of the game in the hope of capitalizing on the buzz that builds as the game approaches. They hope to recoup some of the reported $7 million that’s the going rate for a 30-second spot by capturing pre-game attention. It’s a big challenge to stand out among the 50-plus advertisers that will be vying for the eyes of the more than 100 million people expected to tune in this year to CBS (and Paramount+ and Nickelodeon) on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 11). Last year’s broadcast on Fox was watched by a record 115.1 million viewers, according to Nielsen. So advertisers pull out all the stops. In the ads released ahead of the game so far, Budweiser focuses on its iconic Clydesdales, Michelob Ultra capitalizes on the iconic star power of soccer legend Lionel Messi, and Uber Eats …

How Cord Jefferson turned a novel about race into American Fiction – the year’s buzziest comedy | Film

How Cord Jefferson turned a novel about race into American Fiction – the year’s buzziest comedy | Film

A few years ago, I walked into a large central London bookstore to find a book I’d written, planning to sign a few copies before its imminent publication (as authors are often encouraged to do). The book was about money – as both title and jacket copy made abundantly clear – and yet the bookseller I approached to ask where I might find copies informed me he’d placed them in… race studies. When I challenged him on that categorisation, he grew defensive, while one of his colleagues standing nearby visibly cringed. Over time, I grew to see the encounter as so on the nose as to render it absurd, almost comical – a perfect allegory for how the book industry views Black writers and yet so ludicrous that I considered it anomalous. Imagine my surprise then, when reading Percival Everett’s novel Erasure a few months ago, only to find that exact scenario playing out beat for beat. Everett is as prolific as his work is uncategorisable, the author of more than 30 books, including 2022’s …

Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and FX’s Buzziest Stars Celebrate at Vanity Fair’s Pre-Emmy Party

Fresh off of winning three Golden Globes, the cast and creators of The Bear were front and center at the annual FX and Vanity Fair Emmy party. The event, held Saturday night, celebrated the network’s nominees and acclaimed shows ahead of Monday’s 75th annual Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony—a show that was originally scheduled for last fall, but postponed due to the actors and writers strikes. The Bear is heading to television’s biggest night with 13 nominations, including outstanding comedy series, writing, directing, and numerous acting nods for its first season. Jeremy Allen White arrived at the celebration, held at the historic Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood, with his mother, Eloise, a former theater actor. “It’s really nice and it’s the best” to share all of his success with his mom, White said. She traveled from New York to LA to be with her son for his very first Emmys. “My folks were both actors when they were young. I’ve been at this for a long time, since I was 14 years old, and they …
