Furious Tory MP tears into European Court of Human Rights over Alkali Attacker | Politics | News

A furious Tory MP used PMQs to tear into the European Court of Human Rights, and demand to know when Britain will “stop bending the knee” to foreign courts and judges. Sarah Dines re-opened the sovereignty row after the body of Alkali Attacker Abdul Ezedi’s body was found in the Thames near Tower Bridge yesterday. The Derbyshire MP said she knew Rishi Sunak would share her “anger” that Britain would have been unable to deport the attacker had he been found alive, because of the European Court of Human Rights. She fumed: “When will we stop bending the knee to this so-called European Court?” She added the final attack that the court is a “travesty”. Rishi Sunak said his thoughts are with the victim and their families but couldn’t comment on a live investigation.
