Ariana Grande apologises over backstage behaviour after claims by actress

US star Ariana Grande has apologised for “offending” Elvira, after the actress claimed the pop star snubbed her during a meet and greet. The Mistress Of The Dark star, real name Cassandra Peterson, spoke about her encounter with actress and singer Grande during a question and answer panel in California. Peterson said Grande asked for around 20 tickets to her show several years ago and, while backstage, asked if she would take pictures with “all of her friends and relatives”. “I take a picture with every single one of them. I sign autographs for every single one of them,” Peterson said during the panel, which she later posted on Instagram. “Then I say to her ‘can we take a photo together’ and she goes ‘No, I’d rather not’… and then she left before my show started, all her relatives stayed.” At the end of the video, Peterson laughs when someone on stage said “she’s playing the wrong witch” – referencing Grande’s role in the film adaption of Wicked in which she plays Glinda, the Good …

Donald Trump and Kamala Harris Face Off on Family Feud

Donald Trump may have refused to do a second debate with Kamala Harris, but Saturday Night Live had another idea for them to face off one more time before the election. Maya Rudolph’s Harris and James Austin Johnson’s Trump met once again on NBC’s sketch comedy show, only this time it was on the Family Feud stage with Kenan Thompson’s Steve Harvey. “I am Steve Harvey and I have spent the past 20 years hosting every show on TV as my alibi for them Diddy parties,” Harvey says. “Now tonight, we got two political rivals.” He then proceeded to introduce the Democrats’ side, which included Harris (Rudolph), Tim Walz (Jim Gaffigan), Joe Biden (Dana Carvey) and Douglas Emhoff (Andy Samberg). On the Republicans’ side, it was Trump (Johnson), J.D. Vance (Bowen Yang), Donald Trump Jr. (Mikey Day) and a missing Melania Trump. “It’s wonderful to be here, Steve. I love to see a man getting paid millions of dollars at his black job,” Harris says after being introduced by the host, who also pointed out …

Ariana Grande Makes Another Reference to Wicked at the Met Gala 2024

The Met Gala 2024 red green carpet just got a little more…Wicked. Ariana Grande arrived at the 2024 Met Gala on Monday, returning to the star-studded event for the first time since 2018. The “We Can’t Be Friends” singer wore an ethereal gown with soft pastels and pink shades peeking through creamy white. The strapless Loewe gown featured a bodice made of actual mother of pearl, a draped drop waist, and a flowing, pleated skirt and train. She said that the gown is a nod to her character in the upcoming Wicked, meant to reflect the giant magical bubble that serves as her signature mode of transport. John Shearer Ahead of the release of the two-part film adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked (which itself is based on the Gregory Maguire novel, also called Wicked, which is an adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz), in which Grande plays Glinda the Good Witch, Grande has treated the world as her press tour runway, repeatedly reaching for high-fashion pieces in different shades of …

‘Quiet on Set’ Filmmakers React to Dan Schneider Apology and Tease “Unanswered Questions” in New Episode

‘Quiet on Set’ Filmmakers React to Dan Schneider Apology and Tease “Unanswered Questions” in New Episode

Days after the series premiered, actors from Nickelodeon’s Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide appeared to be making light of some of the doc’s more devastating allegations on social media, something for which they’ve since apologized. “When something is as popular as Quiet On Set is, there’s bound to be some negative reaction,” says Robertson, “but we’ve been overwhelmed by the extent of the positive impact that the film has had on the people who participated.” The series has even emboldened some former child performers, including Zoey 101’s Matthew Underwood, to come forward about abuse they faced in their adolescence. “It’s obviously really disturbing to hear further traumatic accounts, but it’s also heartening to feel that people feel safe in starting to share their stories,” says Schwartz. “I can say with certainty there’s definitely a lot of other people who are processing what they went through.” While the series may have created a haven for some to detail their traumatic experiences, it has also led to problematic social media demand for ex-Nickelodeon stars like Ariana Grande …

Inside ‘Wicked’: Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Talk Glinda and Elphaba

Inside ‘Wicked’: Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Talk Glinda and Elphaba

Never underestimate the power of divas working in tandem. When Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande sign on to a joint Zoom call, they deliver an elongated hiii so joyous it overpowers my laptop’s speakers and knocks the sound out temporarily. “It could have been that we were both screaming at the same time,” says Erivo. “Sorry, we came in hot,” Grande adds sweetly. “We were excited.” Like theater geeks worldwide, they’ve waited more than 20 years for the Wicked musical to be adapted for the screen. Directors as varied as J.J. Abrams, Ryan Murphy, and Rob Marshall were all reported to have circled the movie at some point; rumor has it actors like Lea Michele and Amy Adams did too. For years, Stephen Daldry was attached to direct, but that version fell apart. Why did it all take so long? “Having done something well in one sandbox, there’s pressure if you’re going to do it in the other sandbox,” says producer Marc Platt, the engine behind both the Broadway production and the film. “Maybe subconsciously, …

Grande and Gomez wed in May 2021 in a ceremony in her Montecito backyard, and separated after two years of marriage, confirming via a rep in July 2023 that they were “quietly and lovingly working on their friendship” as they disentangled their lives and headed toward divorce. The duo had a prenuptial agreement, and the terms of their settlement were agreed upon in October, but had to wait six months by court order before finalizing their split. Grande will pay Gomez, a luxury real estate broker, a one-time sum of $1.25 million, with no future alimony, as well as half the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles home and up to $25,000 to cover his attorney fees. Days after news of Grande and Gomez’s split became public, Grande scrubbed her Instagram …

Ariana Grande’s 98-Year-Old Grandma Just Made Music History With ‘Ordinary Things’

Make way, Fred Stobaugh — Ariana Grande‘s grandma is taking over! According to Billboard, Grande’s grandmother, Marjorie Grande — referred to by the pop star as Nonna (meaning grandma in Italian) — has overtaken the late Stobaugh as the senior-most artist ever to appear on the Hot 100 chart. The news comes as Grande’s new album, Eternal Sunshine, enters the charts. The album landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and the song “Ordinary Things” — on which Nonna is billed as a featured artist and a co-writer — debuted at No. 55.  “Ordinary Things” closes with a clip of Nonna giving her granddaughter a bit of advice as she reflects on her late husband, Frank. “Never go to bed without kissin’ goodnight,” Nonna shares. “That’s the worst thing to do; don’t ever, ever do that. And if you don’t feel comfortable doing it, you’re in the wrong place — get out.” Of her decision to include the soundbite, Grande told Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe, “I always record my Nonna, because you never know what she’s going to say. I …
