ABC will give its most popular show, High Potential, the biggest possible platform during its third season. The network has scheduled an episode of High Potential to run after Super Bowl LXI on Feb. 14, 2027. ABC made the announcement via a short promo spot with star Kaitlin Olson during its Monday Night Football telecast. High Potential is scheduled to start its third season early next year as part of ABC’s midseason lineup. The Super Bowl episode will not be the season premiere, but the network hasn’t announced a debut date for season three yet. Season two of High Potential averaged 16 million cross-platform viewers over 35 days, ranking third among all network shows (excluding live sports) for the 2025-26 season. The U.S. Air Force will buy data collected by WindBorne Systems‘ fleet of autonomous weather balloons under a new contract that could be worth nearly $50 million to the startup. WindBorne currently has about 700 weather balloons flying around the globe, collecting atmospheric sensor readings that the company sells to customers and also feeds into its own AI weather forecasting model. WindBorne, founded in 2015 and based in Redwood City, California, is one of the first organizations to directly feed empirical data into a deep-learning weather model. The company has worked closely with the U.S. government, particularly the National Weather Service and the U.S. Air Force and Navy, but this is the single-largest contract the company has participated in.
