Kevin Hart Sets the Record Straight About His Actual Height

Kevin Hart is putting his foot down when it comes to speculation surrounding his height. The 44-year-old comedian confirms his actual height in a new interview for 60 Minutes, opening up about why he jokes about his size in his stand-up.  In a new clip shared on social media, Anderson Cooper notes that various media outlets have all reported Hart at different heights ranging from 5’2 to 5’5.  “GQ finally got it right,” Hart reveals, confirming the 5’5 number. “Five-foot-five. Like, with a shoe on, like with a sneaker.”  With a sly smile, he adds, “Now if I put a boot on, I can get to 5’5 and a half.”  Hart’s stature has long been a subject of his comedy routines, as well as an ongoing schtick between himself and his longtime pal, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson — whose own height has been reported to be between 6’2 and 6’5.  Kevin Hart with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson – Albert L. Kevin Hart Reveals His True Height, If He’s a Billionaire & the Oscars

Kevin Hart wants people to know that some of the stories of his height have been greatly exaggerated. The actor appeared on Sunday night’s edition of CBS‘ 60 Minutes, where he spoke with Anderson Cooper and set the record straight. Cooper noted that GQ reported his height as 5-foot-5, while The Los Angeles Times put it at 5-foot-4. “And some other place said you were 5’2″,” Cooper added. “Well, that place is bullshit,” Hart joked. “GQ finally got it right. [I’m] 5-foot-5, like with a shoe on, like a sneaker. Now, if I put a boot on, I can get to 5’5″ and a half.” Hart, who talks about his short statue in his stand-up comedy routine, explained why he’s been incorporating those jokes for more than 20 years. “It’s talking about the things that you aren’t afraid to laugh at about yourself,” he said. “I’m really confident that the laugh that I’m getting, you’re not laughing necessarily at me as if I’m a joke. You’re laughing at the experience. I’m giving you an experience …

Powell: ‘The US is on an unsustainable fiscal path’

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said “the U.S. is on an unsustainable fiscal path” in an 60 Minutes interview with Scott Pelley released Sunday. “The U.S. federal government’s on an unsustainable fiscal path. And that just means that the debt is growing faster than the economy. So, it is unsustainable. I don’t think that’s at all controversial,” Powell said when asked if the national debt is a danger to the economy. The U.S. national debt topped $34 trillion for the first time ever in early January, just over three months after surpassing the $33 trillion mark, according to data released by the U.S. Treasury. Congress has punted on spending deadlines three times since the end of September as it grapples with how to fund the government amid tensions about the ballooning national debt. Under the latest stopgap measure passed in January, funding for four federal agencies will expire on March 1. Funding for the rest of the government is set to run out on March 8. President Biden and House Republicans faced off on the …
