You have probably played through at least one of the later Fallout games, but have you ever played the original? Or the two games that come next in the series? Well, now you can, for free, thanks to the Epic Games Store. But only if you’re quick.
The Fallout Classic Collection Is Free (If You’re Quick)
From August 29 to September 5, Fallout Classic Collection is available to download from the Epic Games Store for free. Fallout Classic Collection comprises the original Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel.
Once you claim the free download, the games will be permanently added to your library. It will then be on you to find the time to actually play the darn things as well as the countless other games you no doubt already own.
As you can see from the tweet above, alongside Fallout Classic Collection, Epic is also giving Wild Card Football away for free (until September 5). However, while that game has some decent reviews (alongside some terrible ones), it hasn’t got the same gravitas as Fallout.
Find Out How the Fallout Series Started
You have probably played Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and/or Fallout: New Vegas. After all, these games sold millions of copies apiece. However, the Fallout series has been around since 1997, and back then, sales of the games were counted in the hundreds of thousands.
This, therefore, is your opportunity to play the game that started the whole series off (as well as the sequel and its first spin-off). As is to be expected with games this old, some aspects haven’t aged well. But this collection is still a must-play for any fans of the Fallout games series.
You Have Until September 5 to Claim the Freebies
While it’s well worth downloading Fallout Classic Collection for the low, low price of free, you really do need to get your skates on if you want to secure these three classics entirely gratis.
Come September 5, 2024, Fallout Classic Collection will once again cost money to buy. So we recommend you go to the Epic Games Store without delay and put them in your cart. And if you’re reading this after September 5, then, bad luck.
And if you’re completely new to the Fallout series by way of the TV show, these are the Fallout titles we recommend you play.
