A Pakistani judge has refused to allow a young Christian woman, Adeeba Amjad, abducted by her Muslim employer to return home, the Christian Post reports.
In 2022, the family announced Adeeba’s engagement to a Christian man resulting in their daughter resigning from her job.
A few months later, her former Muslim employer, Muhammad Bashir, abducted Adeeba on May 16, 2023, while she was at home.
Despite receiving a written report from Adeeba that she had been kidnapped and wanted to return to her Christian family, the Muslim female judge overseeing the case ruled that the Christian girl was now married to her Muslim employer.
According to CLAAS-UK, a UK charity that is reporting on Adeeba’s case, the Muslim judge went one step further and actually tampered with Adeeba’s testimony, in order to justify the decision.
