Meghan Markle has been urged to stay off Instagram after the majority of Brits said they would rather she not make any more posts, according to a new poll.

The Duchess of Sussex welcomed the new year with a big bang after she finally launched a new personal Instagram page with the handle @meghan, which she regularly updated during the first week of January.

Meghan’s first post, on January 1, was a short video, namely a reel, which showed her running across a beach and writing ‘2025’ in the wet sand. The video is thought to have been filmed by Prince Harry.

The next day, Meghan revealed the new trailer for her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, which is set to be released on March 4.

Her third post came five days later, on January 7, when she posted a heartbreaking video tribute to her rescue beagle, Guy, who has now passed away.

But since then, following the devastating wildfires that started on the same day, the duchess has been silent on her social media, and royal fans now think that she should stay that way.

Express.co.uk asked readers if they would like to see Meghan post regular updates on her Instagram and the response was overwhelmingly negative.

A total of 2,497 people were polled from 5.30pm on Wednesday, January 22 to 4.30pm on Friday, January 24 and the majority of them responded negatively to the question.

Out of the total, 97,3% (2,432) voted against Meghan’s regular updates, while less than 2% (41) voted in favour.

Just 24 of our readers voted “I don’t know”.

It comes as the Duchess of Sussex has been caught in a media storm again following fresh allegations about her behaviour towards staff.

Vanity Fair published a cover story citing various sources about the Sussexes’s life across the pond and painted a less than favourable picture of the pair.

Aside from Montecito sources dubbing them “local villains”, the duchess was targetted again after ex-staffers accused her of allegedly making them take “extended breaks” from work or undergo “long-term therapy” after working with her.

The Sussex couple has declined to comment on the latest claims, but sources close to them told the Times they find the latest allegations “distressing”.
